Your application may be refused in the following circumstances:

  • You are a current or previous resident whose behaviour in halls has been unacceptable and you have been subject to the halls disciplinary process
  • You are a current or previous resident who still owes hall fees
  • If you are applying late and we have no rooms left

Please note you will be charged from the arrival date selected,
however an early arrival will incur extra charges.

When you apply you will have to pay £50 upfront to secure your booking. That £50 will be reduced from your first term's rent. If you are applying for a summer stay and are already in halls you will not need to make another payment, however students not already in halls will need to make the £50 payment to secure a room for the summer.

The information that you supply on your application will be held and processed in line with the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR and subsequent legislation.
The information you provide will be treated confidentially, and only used to add you to our application system, allocate you a room in halls of residence and support you for the duration of your licence agreement.
We may contact you to confirm details of your booking or to request payment.
We may share certain elements of your details with external companies to enable us to deliver services to you. The list of companies we share your data with, and the reason why are listed below:


Omnipost.
To ensure a secure mail service can be provided.
Campus Life.
To enable customer communications to be sent to me.
Chosen security provider.
To enable us to provide support to you within your hall of residence.
Nottingham University staff.
To enable us to contact staff at Nottingham if required e.g the wellbeing team.

Our lawful basis for processing your data are:

Contract - this will enable us to provide you with a licence agreement

Legitimate Interest – this will enable us to provide you with services as detailed above and other services you would expect to receive from the University, for example services to assist with wellbeing.

The data provided on this form may be kept for up to 7 years. We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. After the retention period expires your data will be securely deleted in accordance with our Data Retention Policy and applicable UK GDPR requirements.

You have the right to control your data. These include -
